WILD AWARE IN THE NEWS

Our momma elk are having their babies on the grassy islands and are very protective of their newborns. Wildlife Watch works in partnership with the Evergreen Audubon Society, Evergreen Parks and Rec District, and Denver Mountain Parks to recruit and train volunteers for the program.

Thanks to Denver Mountain Parks for blocking the path closest to the islands in Evergreen Lake. These barricades will do much to help keep our humans and wildlife safe during the elk birthing season.
