Gives

As December approaches, Wild Aware is gearing up to celebrate our 5th birthday! Our mission is critical, and with Colorado Gives, nonprofits like Wild Aware have the chance to thrive.

Our visionary president & founder, along with our dedicated board, team leaders, & 100% volunteer team, strive every day to make a tangible difference in Evergreen, Conifer, and surrounding mountain communities. We aim to foster respectful and peaceful coexistence with our local wildlife.

We need your help to reach our goal!

For over half a decade, Wild Aware has collaborated with federal, state and local agencies which manage parks, open spaces, transportation, wildlife, law enforcement and human safety as well as working closely with businesses, schools, other non-profits and community groups.

Together, we've worked tirelessly to enhance the safety of our neighborhoods, roads, and open spaces for both humans and wildlife. Our volunteers are dedicated to educating residents & visitors on how to avoid & reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions in our community, especially along State Highway 74 (Evergreen Parkway).

Your donations help Wild Aware:

  • Educate residents, visitors, and school children through programs like Wildlife Watch at Evergreen Lake.

  • Present important webinars featuring local wildlife officers and experts like Living in Harmony on Nov 7th, 2024.

  • Host free community events, such as our exclusive, live presentation on December 5th with award-winning conservation author and journalist Ben Goldfarb and local expert Julia Kintsch.

  • Remove and recycle disused barbed wire in the Front Range's vast and former rangelands.

  • Purchase and install game cameras along Hwy 74/Evergreen Parkway and on escape ramps to study how ungulates cross our highways and navigate dangerous intersections.

Help us continue our mission by making a $5 gift to us on Colorado Gives.org. Your gift will be amplified, enabling Wild Aware to make a significant difference in human and wildlife coexistence.
